Review of Packetel Pfax Service

I have used it since about 2/05. I am in an area where they have numbers that are local to me.
The service has been flawless except for a 4 or 5 hr. glitch when they were off line about 3 months ago. (I gather the problem didn't affect all their customers.) In the midst of that, they did send an email alerting customers to the problem. No faxes were lost - just delayed.
I am a lite user - about 25 faxes a month totalling about 75-100 pages. The advantages for me is that I don't waste paper printing out pages that aren't needed and not having to replace expensive ink jet cartridges in the fax machine. I save enough in not buying ink for the fax in the year to pay for the service - $3.95/mo. This seems to be by far the cheapest service of its type.
Another advantage is that you can pick up your faxes wherever you happen to be in the world simply by accessing your email. You actually can program the system to send each fax to two diff. email addresses.
