I need to receive on average 5 faxes per month. What is the best internet solution? J-fax is rediculous.

Why not eFax free? That's what I use to receive faxes. True, your fax number will be out of your area code but long distance is cheap.

Xpedite's new Fax2Mail service is $10/month including local (choice of area code) or toll-free number and gives you the first 30 fax pages free. No software, 24-hour support, automatic archiving, choice of formats, etc. Also comes as an enterprise solution.
Check it out at http://www.xpedite.com.

Check out www.internetfaxprovider.com. They provide a toll-free number and 50 free incoming fax pages per month. So when people send you faxes, they won't have to pay a charge for sending. You won't have to deal with getting a local area code number - toll free is the way to go.
